Challenge: Capture the raw energy and intimate “underground” feel of a new music event with low, dynamic lighting. 


The goal was to produce impactful content for social media and future promotions while maintaining the genuine atmosphere without distraction.

Approach & Solution: I embraced the low-light environment, utilizing a fixed telephoto lens to capture the action discreetly without using a flash. This allowed me to get close to the emotion and unique flow of the artists and audience.

 

My technique involved using slow shutter speed to create intentional motion blur, adding a dynamic, lively feel that reflects the music’s energy. In post-production, I added textures and a subtle “collage” effect to enhance the gritty, authentic aesthetic of the “underground” scene.
